Zip replacement — jackets, trousers, skirts
A broken zip is the most common reason people throw away an otherwise perfectly good jacket. Replacing it costs a fraction of a new one, and we handle down jackets, leather and lined coats too.

The cost of the zip itself is added to the labour, based on type and length — a few tens of crowns for a standard trouser zip, more for a long separating jacket zip. We always state it in the quote up front.
How long it takes
Normally within 3 working days. If we need to order a zip in an unusual length or colour, we'll tell you the timing in the quote straight away.
What helps us
- Photograph the whole zip and a close-up of the slider — that tells us the type and length
- Tell us whether you want the same colour or the closest available is fine
- On jackets, check whether it's only the slider that's gone — sometimes a cheaper repair is enough
Frequently asked questions
How much does a jacket zip replacement cost?
From 650 Kč plus the price of the zip. Down jackets and lined coats take more work, so we always confirm from a photo. A trouser or skirt zip starts at 350 Kč.
Is replacing the zip worth it, or should I buy a new jacket?
For a jacket that still fits and holds up, replacing the zip is almost always worth it — a comparable new one costs several times more. If the fabric is worn through or the lining is falling apart, we'll say so and advise against the repair.
Do you keep zips in stock?
Common lengths and colours, yes, so we can do the job right away. Unusual zips (long separating, metal, specific colours) have to be ordered — that usually adds a few days and we'll tell you in advance.
