Suit and jacket alterations in Prague
Very few people fit an off-the-peg suit straight from the rail. Adjusting the sleeves, waist and trouser length turns it into a suit that looks made for you — usually for a few hundred crowns.
What we do
- Shortening jacket sleeves — including moving the buttons
- Taking the jacket in at the waist and sides
- Tapering and hemming suit trousers
- Adjusting the trouser waist (letting out or taking in)
- Replacing lining and small repairs

Frequently asked questions
Can a jacket be narrowed at the shoulders?
It can, but it's the most complex and most expensive alteration — the sleeve head has to be taken apart. On cheaper off-the-peg jackets it's usually not worth it and we'll tell you so honestly. The waist, length and sleeves, on the other hand, are straightforward and make a big difference.
How much can a suit be taken in?
Usually 4–6 cm at the waist without changing the cut. More is possible, but the jacket may hang differently — we'll assess it at the fitting and tell you whether it makes sense.
Will you alter a suit I didn't buy from you?
Of course. We alter suits from anywhere — off the peg or from the back of your wardrobe. We only do alterations; we don't make suits to measure.
